Six Flags Great Adventure | Unknown | Unknown Kingda Ka replacement | 2026+

Delivering one track piece at a time? That'll take forever. But I guess they don't seem to be in a hurry. I went to this park for the first time last October. Kinda strange to think that King Da Ka stood there for 20 years before I was able to get there, and then I was there the season after it closed. Just missed it.

Non-coaster update, a reimagining of the park's very ugly Boardwalk area has been announced for this season, preceding the new coaster that is being installed within/adjacent.

Anyone putting two and two together has assumed that something is being picked up from Six Flags America, especially since they recently dismantled their French Quarter Flyers and Ragin Cajun. I think the former seems pretty assured, it's an easy ride to rebuild, ideal for a supporting lineup, and SFGADV is one of the few major US parks without one. On the other hand it'd be a little silly of them to plop down a twenty-year-old spinning mouse next to their shiny giant new 2027 headliner, but dumber things have happened before.

The other day they filed demolition permits for a few of the game stands, these should help open up the path and get rid of dead weight;

Overall yeah this is Phase 2 of Cedar Fair execs' pet project in SFGADV rehabilitation. Step One was purging a ton of attractions, Step Two is this weak-point area cleanup, Step Three will bring it home with the headliner heavily-marketable coaster. And there's loads more happening this offseason and behind the scenes as well.

A boardwalk area not by water is such a funny thing. Switlik lake is obviously close by, but there's stuff in between the boardwalk area and that so how's it a boardwalk when it's just a normal concrete path with no water around? Lmao

We have vertical construction!

May I be the first to say, Looks Slow...

The SFA Spinning Mouse officially goes to Great Adventure as a second coaster project in the new area! New paint is blue, this is its third home after originally opening at SFGAM in 2004;

Oh that's good, this is one of the few creds I'm missing from SFA, so it'll be nice to have that not die on me. That said, I'm sick of Reverchons.

Seems like the park will be a sneaky +3 for me whenever I return, with this one continuing Great Adventure's streak of new low-capacity coasters.

Thanks, I hate it.

Well, not hate. But when all you cobble together is a single concept photo, with pixelated blow-up of the other, "new feature rides" (example 1 below); this is quite a low-brow expansion exercise.

I'm just mad none of those rides made it out to SFMM. There are more flat rides in that one pic than in SFMM's entire park (excluding kiddie rides), lol
