YAY Merlin!

Why? We knew Merlin had been campaigning for tax relief on the UK theme park industry, particularly after the government gave its backing to Universal. Why would they claim this and then not do it? For a CEO to outright lie on a public announcement would be career suicide.

I swear, sometimes people think Merlin can't do anything right.
They can't! If you think every percentage of that tax relief is being passed on to guests you've got another thing coming!

Not to be biased or anything but I thought it should go in here, but Oblivion's 3 second holding brake along with the drop audio is now back.
That is good but I'm sorry this shouldn't be celebrated this is a basic standard to have all effects etc working. The fact that Merlin have slipped so far that were celebrating the basic is very telling

In Merlin’s defence, the drop audio was removed in 2004 as part of a noise injunction (for some reason, they thought it encouraged people to scream louder?), so it was before they arrived on the scene.

They bought Towers in 2007 if I recall correctly, so it's taken 19 years to turn on. As for the hold brake not sure how long that's been broken but a good while...

maybe i'm biased because I love the coaster but the new updates on Saw: The Ride this year are really nice, the new logos are subtle but add a lot to the theming, I didn't think they'd even update anything, at least for a while

It was less a case of being broken and linked to the noise injunction too as the combination of the longer hold and the audio was said to increase screams, this is a choice to revert the ride to its original form. There's already a thread to be negative, I don't see what's wrong with celebrating a positive change, no matter how small. Although as a huge Oblivion fan, this is big news for me.

It is a positive change I agree, I was mainly commenting on how on earth it's taken this long though

Good News!
Toxicator will be running a new cycle for Saturday 20th only (1700-1800) named MU. Must mean they've got the fountains working! Oh wait no they haven't...
