This is actually hilarious. What a s*** show going from having plans to open within a week to a full year delay.
Not gonna lie I’m kind of relieved of this news. I live an hour and a half from the park and did not want to make the effort to get out there for this cred (yet).
But can confirm Juvelen was open and running great this past weekend! Opened an hour later after having an engineer on it… no idea if it’s related to all this mess or not…

Other than a ride like Tron or Hagrids that might specifically warrant moto-style seating...what is the desire to design trains that place you in perhaps the most uncomfortable riding position ever?
It's no mystery that tire launches are much more susceptible to inconsistencies even with the best environmental factors. Makes me wonder what kind of initial savings there were to go with a tire launch over magnets, considering Intamin has substantially improved upon them with rides like Veloci and Pantheon.
Also mind boggling that Intamin/Six Flags has such a basic coaster, with the simplest launch system, and has become such a headache while at the same time comes from a company that has some of the most tech advanced rides out there.
Stick with what you do best, I suppose.

I suppose the reason is simple: Money. A tire launch is significantly cheaper than an LSM. I don’t know the exact pricing but I got told that one Intamin LSM module is about as expensive as a car.
Additionally, the seating position is closer to the track, which means that there is less room for the necessary magnets (which are heavy and might necessitate a more sturdy track and also expensive by themselves).
I like the seating position in a way, because it really gives you a different feeling, same goes for the Vekoma motorbikes.
