Lightwater Valley - Future?

I fully believe they hired a graphic designer in Lincoln, given their location, Lincoln would make a lot of sense...

Problem is, said graphic designer has had their pants down and used AI... 🤣 🤣 🤣

To be fair though, generative AI is built into PS / Adobe Cloud now...

A good days work that. Managed the same in 30 seconds, I'd say mines more accurate too.

Not only does it appear to be AI slop, but the text was probably written by AI as well. The rule of 3 at the start feels like a dead giveaway, that style of writing is everywhere now.

I hate it.

Out of interest whats the rule of 3?

AI says

The rule of three in advertising opening lines uses a trio of words, phrases, or clauses to create a memorable, rhythmic, and persuasive message that catches attention within the first three seconds. It works because the human brain finds patterns in threes more satisfying and easier to remember than other numbers.

Here are examples and applications of the rule of three in advertising opening lines:
Famous Examples
  • "Location, location, location" (Real Estate)
  • "Stop, Look, and Listen" (Safety)
  • "Reduce, Reuse, Recycle" (Sustainability)
  • "I came, I saw, I conquered" (Julius Caesar)
  • "Blood, sweat, and tears" (Persuasive idiomatic)
  • "Work, rest and play" (Mars Bar slogan)
  • "See it. Say it. Sorted." (British Transport Police)

😂 🤣 😂 🤣

The rule of 3 in regards to text is to not use more than 3 font types in the same design. Too many fonts cause it to look chaotic. To be honest 3 is too many in most cases. 2 or less looks better. And those logos in this kind of style are not easily scale able, hence we’ve seen Merlin/thorpe go for something much more minimal and sleek in the last few years.

It’s definitely AI anyway. Said graphic designer from Lincoln has definitely used AI. Honestly really sucks as it definitely gives you an impression that it’s cheap/no care has been taken and that reflects on the view of the park.

It's funny I am referring to the rule 3 of in a completely different way lol it's not really the rule of 3 at all in hindsight!

I'm referring to the way AI uses it. The way it goes "New blah, new blah, new blah" in three different sentences is such an AI written thing, I see it all over Facebook which nowadays is more AI than human.

Visited for the first time in 15 years today, expecting to have left at 1 having run out of things to do, but stayed most of the day. The ambience at the park was lovely, and don't know how it compares to recent years, but the park was in good order and well maintained and clean. Spinning racer is an excellent addition.

Well done Mellors.

Also visited for the 1st time ever on Saturday, quite enjoyed the park stayed much longer than we'd scheduled for (local cred run after).
Of course there are improvements to be made but considering it's rough couple of years and recent ownership change from what I can see so far I'm feeling positive

Tbh I was expecting to not enjoy my time there and was really just wanting to get a ride on on spinning coaster and go after lunch, but despite the weather being awful, it was a lovely day and the sheer potential of what is ultimately a very pretty area is massive.

The spinning coaster had some theming, and had tastefully been toned down from the travelling look, but truthfully I enjoyed my rides on it more than anything I had been on there in the years I last visited back last decade, where despite the mismanagement by Brighton pier group, the park already felt run down and on its last legs.

The ultimate is gone. All hail the future.
