Legoland Windsor Future Developments

Ahh i thought it was mentioned in WTF merlin but it has not yet, so reports are indicating that both the pirate & puppet show are not happening for 2025. Source

Apparently part of the Merlins budget cuts, it started with a former employee who made a video about the shows not happening this year. Source

On the parks website they are absent, hopefully its just temporary if true as while not confirmed not having the pirate show would be a big loss.

Yes i had seen those but there are also reports they are outsourcing. My gut says they will be back as having the central hub empty all year would be rather odd.

Legoland have submitted plans to remodel the park entrance area.

More images, and a breakdown of the plans can be found at Attraction Source
Welp Legoland did get permission to build a brand new entrance.

But looks like they have scaled those plans back a bit to this.

It will be interesting to find out why the plans were rejected. Even the scaled-back plans would be an improvement on what they have no so fingers crossed it goes through this time.

Went to Legoland today and it was nice, honestly in the future it will allways be this time of the year when i visit as queues are quiet, longest we waited was Ninjago for mabey 15mins.

The trains new figures are in and some move, some more than others but they are a nice refresh, wish there were more lego animals as there a lot of minifigures added.

As for construction only things were the building at the top and the puppet show building in Duplo land, canopy has come down.

As nothing of the new entrance has been built i did not take a pic, just looks like a construction site.

But yea, we had a nice day 😊

A planning application has gone in interestingly not for the rapids area but the theater.

The old theater and sky ride station are to be demolished and replaced with a new 4D building that seats 290.

Maybe just me but for the "imagination theatre" a big green square building is not that creative 😅

A new coaster is coming 🤔

Saw there has been a behind the scenes tour and the park have been busy with apparently quite a bit planned.

One of the people that went to the event (Source) claims that someone asked what will be coming to the old rapids site and was told a land expansion including a rollercoaster. Considering Ninjago is close by he assumes it will have that theme and be a mack spinner as one has recently opened at Legoland Korea. I can see the land expansion and a copy and paste would be very Merlin so its possible.

But yes just a rumour for the mo, however for their 30th the park have been working on improvements.

-permanent security area
-new resin surfaces in areas
-new lego models around the park
-new path for all of pirates landing and fencing
-jolly rocker entrance rework
-repainting across the park
-more benches
-dining upgrades around the park
-solar panel car park is almost done

This is all part of a revamp to the older areas of the park that look to all get some work done over the next few years. Some pics below, click here for more: Source

Bit more info from the BTS which also mentioned all lands will be refurbished in the next 5 years:

Given the hill landscape where the rapids was, I don't see it being an exact copy of anything at any other park. Does make logical sense that the coaster would be an extension for Ninjago Land, and I wouldn't rule out a Mack Spinner as that does fit tbf.

At the same time, I was expecting any future new coaster at LLW to be indoors (to help push their year-round offering), at the Galacticoaster concept that has gone to California and Florida seemed like a great fit for Windsor. I guess they could make that concept work for a Ninjago theme.

I have heard rumours aplenty about a B&M going to Windsor. I think they're more wishful thinking than being grounded in any real truth and reality, and I don't think the rapids location would work for a B&M. But frankly stranger things have happened in the world, so who knows...
