ONE LAST RIDE: Jet Star 2’s Final Countdown!

Since its thrilling debut in the Summer of 1976, Jet Star 2 has provided a generation of thrills at Lagoon.

The 1,900-foot coaster isn’t just a ride; it’s a piece of #Utah history, and one of the park’s most popular attractions for nearly five decades.

Lagoon will be retiring Jet Star 2 following the conclusion of the 2025 season.

Join us to celebrate the incredible legacy of Jet Star 2 and take one last unforgettable ride. The park will be open TWO BONUS WEEKENDS: October 31st - November 9th, 2025*.

Don’t worry- the park is planning a worthy successor!

*Park Hours: Weather and other factors permitting.

Sad to hear. I think that leaves the oddly-named Jet Star 3 at Lunapark Robland in Poland as the only operating Jet Star 2 model in the world. But I might have missed a travelling coaster of this model.

Bummer.

And with the recent closure of Montana Rusa at Parque del Café down in Colombia, I believe this news will leave SFGAm's Whizzer as the last remaining Schwarzkopf spiral lift in the western hemisphere.

Indiana Beach does still have Tig'rr, but that's a first-gen Schwarzkopf Jet Star that didn't utilize the spiral lift (still a totally fun zippy little ride, though).

However, there are about a half-dozen Wildcats still left in this part of the world...... which is nice.

I’m looking forward to its successor! The last time I rode Jet Star (last year), my neck and back were messed up. I also had some strange kid sitting in my lap because he needed someone to ride with so I was trying not to hit his head with mine. I love roller coasters but that one has seen better days. My condolences to those who still love it though.

Can they just replace the regular lift hill with the jet star 2 spiral lift hill
