Djurs Sommerland | Midgårdsormen | Intamin Hot Racer | 2027

Is this the hot racer? Also, what does it say? Can't tell some of the letters cuz of the font lol
I’m 99.9% sure it is, the height requirement is a direct match to Mahuka.
Also, when I looked it up on Google Translate, it translated to “The Midgard Serpent”.

An informative teaser video by the director - in summary - he says: The expansion of Vikingland will be 20,000 square meters, slightly larger than Dinosaurland. They are building a new giant attraction for 2027 and a lot of concrete work will be carried out. The area will also include facilities such as a kiosk, and a souvenir shop.

I'm really excited for this.

Djurs is an excellent park already, and a coaster with inversions is pretty much the only thing they were missing from their coaster line up. You know they'll theme it well, and the Intamin Hot Racer is a fantastic product.

I'd love to see the park invest in a dark ride in the future, but for now, this is a big step forward.

In the updated planning applications there are some attached illustrations of a kiosk building and the station building and queline.

By the looks of it the first launch will be surrounded by queue line in that building? Will build up anticipation seeing trains launch out as you get closer and closer to riding!
That will be sick! I can't think of many examples, but waiting for Fire Chaser Express at Dollywood, watching it launch out of the station is a good build up.

edit : i know the hot racer doesn't launch out of the station, i meant watching firechaser. just to clarify

Yeah that's sick actually, I love that aspect of the FLY queue at Phantasialand

The world serpent, if you like. For whatever reason, the old Norse term "Jormundgandr" is more common in English usage, but the Scandinavian languages tend to modernize it.

Djurs have released artwork of the back of the train with the following
Although we were almost certain of the ride model I think this now confirms it 100%

For those who prefer Youtube viewing:

This is some genuine RMC Raptor-killing design here. It'll be curious if both can co-exist.
I have to admit when this model first emerged I was very against it copying RMC, however having experienced 2 Raptors now I really don't like the seating position and harness. Intamin definitely have the better trains and I cannot wait to experience this and further models hopefully

The other argument here is that all the Hot Racers to date have been launched, which immediately differentiates it from the Raptors. They can easily coexist as a result I reckon.

I think unlike RMC, Intamin also stumbled into filling a very niche demand with the Hot Racer. High thrill launch coasters tend to be larger, more expensive beasts, but they've given a cheaper option for smaller parks to get great custom layouts with premium hardware at a lower cost/scale/capacity.
