Lightwater Valley - Future?

Fantastic, already the best investment made to the park in a long time! So happy to see that mellors are clearly going to be bringing bigger rides back to the valley. Yes there will be no doubt temp traveling rides brought in which lightwater is no stranger to tbf but I’m ok with it personally, I just hope in the longer term mellors decide to add more permanent rides.

For me getting the raptor/rat ride area back up and running is surely a no brainer, surely mellors have a coaster that would easily fit in the warehouse would be a great start and bring back a little nostalgia. Return of king rat!

Overall I’m feeling very positive about this. Could see them adding a fair few rides to the lineup this year which would be the biggest year the park has had in a long time.

Yeah I wouldn’t mind travelling rides in the park as it’s always had them tbh, I’d like to see Wild River Rapids make a return to the valley with supporting thrill rides.
 
This is great news I love the Mellors group what they have done with fantasy island is amazing totally transformed it, just wish they had brought it first time around as I have no doubt in my mind that we would still have my favourite ever coaster the ultimate. I could also see them bringing there mine train coaster the ex American adventure one they have never really had the land for it until now Lightwater huge .
 
This is really great news for Lightwater Valley. Really glad Mellors bought it and are already making an addition. It'll be interesting to see their approach going forwards as theres so much space to play with and its a very different vibe to Fantasy Island. I really do hope we see them venturing into some permanent installations in the next few years once they've had some time to plan!

Yeah it’s fantastic tbh, even better that LWV has spinning racer for next season, the best coaster we’ve had in years 🎉
 
Ironically I think it's the village that will see the attendances rising not the rides, but if there is a buzz about the place people will notice it. Think that's why Flamingo land can install sik and see attendances drop - they seem to be very bad at shouting 'come and see the new thing!'

Lightwater hasn’t been any better at that the past previous years tbh 😂 they should get some of the marketing teams from Fantasy Island, help them out

That's my point, if nothing else Mellors have been excellent at creating a buzz for Fantasy island, whereas the marketing team at LWV at the moment make it look like a crèche.

If nothing else I hope mellors get rid of that god awful logo.

& the awful website design. For example when they had the rocket last season they never made it clear that they have a new coaster on site
