Warner Bros. World Abu Dhabi | Superman Up Up and Away | Next gen Vekoma flyer | 2028?

Wonder where they're putting that in?

Good ride choice and theme though.

Also a good addition to join the Harry Potter land, whenever that actually happens...

I didn't watch the whole video but seemed it was a lot of speculation about possible layouts.

Would be much easier with this leaked diagram from a while back.

So this is the presumed layout for the flyer right? Which seems to have a swing launch with a spike. Could we see rotating seats on a flying coaster here? They already rotate for the station section, so in theory they could possibly also spin 180 degrees at each end of the swing launch? That would create three forward facing launches🤔

Do we presume the whole thing will be outside? Trying to figure out some of these footer and retaining wall placements in the screenshot.

Can we figure out if the spike is taken forwards or backwards? I hope it's taken backwards, so you're facing straight down; that'd be pretty incredible in the front row! Really happy to see another of these being built - FLY is fantastic, and I'd like to see more of them.

I would be curious about the feeling of a spike on a flying coaster and going backwards for the next bit. But if they are using the trains that can rotate for loading, could that also be used to change the direction riders are facing when at the peak of the spike? Fly up facing up, turn like a bird or superhero to dive back down facing down.

Maybe similar to Hollywood drift, with a switch track to make the chassis face backwards before the ride starts

Sounds absurd but i love it. I am disappointed it's going to be outside though, the theming potential of this being indoors felt exciting.

I don't think this will happen. on FLY, it's a pretty slow and controlled rotation indoors, in the dark ride section, and I think it's probably powered in there. I don't really think the mechanism is made for use at such high speeds out on the main track.

I don't think this will happen because the park doesn't max out it's technology to the available potential. Trackless rides when a bus bar would have done and eerily static dark rides for instance.

Tech wise they could make upgrades if not already possible on these particular vehicles. Controlled rotation is on modern rides from Vekoma and Intamin. Put a sensor or power bar wherever needed.
