Six Flags Fiesta Texas | Signature 2027 Attraction This Way Comes

The best time would have been to create a new thread earlier. The second best time is now.

So there is a confirmed major new roller coaster in the works at Six Flags Fiesta Texas. A couple of tube slides on the edge of the waterpark were removed after last season to open up a lot of space back there, which is now firmly in site prep mode. But make no mistake, this is no waterpark expansion. Rather than allow Jeffrey Siebert (for all his strengths) to oversell it, just see how the land looks;

And some early markers;

The park has been embracing vague teasers about a full moon;

So what's the upshot of all this? The park has been open about this being a significant new coaster and Siebert himself set people amok by saying that they "had the option" to build to/past the 200 foot mark if they chose to. This is also evidently a pre-merger project and playing by the set of rules established by the previous Six Flags executives, which between a sudden desire to encourage new attractions everywhere from late 2022 up until 2024 meant that they had an easier time securing manufacturers and budgets. The Cedar Fair exec treatment of the Legacy SF parks has been to clean up and fill gaps; SFFT's project was born from a need to do something because why not.

In terms of suppliers, Mack is fully off the table as they're known to be supplying up to three American coasters in 2027, none of which fit the bill for SFFT. That could leave the doors open to Vekoma, Premier, B&M, Gerstlauer, perhaps a woodie, or the holiest grail of them all, Intamin.

So yesss this might be a fun one to keep an eye on.
