Would they not have needed planning permission? They are announcing 2021 coasters years in advance but nothing about one coming this summer even if family.
Was referring to capacity 1200 an hour should be possible. essentially if had 2 raptors (600 each) interlinked would double capacity to 1200
By 2 coasters in 1 I'm specualing that the 2 is number of distinct tracks and 1 is ride like dragon challenge, Colossus etc. People refer to ride not which...
Wonder Woman Golden Lasso raptor, has a 600 per hour capacity with 1800 foot length
multiply that by 2 and add 600 foot per track and should easily do 1200.
seriously doubt they'll be putting raptor in tayto, reckon some type of launched dueling coaster
Yeah saw the construction pics before, but do we know for sure land clearing is for coaster and not different type of ride. I didn't see any planning permission coming for this which I presume is needed
No mention of the zierer family coaster supposed to be coming next year. Wonder was that canned for some other type ride.
Did they ever get planning permission for this.

the new roller-coaster will be the same height as the park's 32 metre high Cú Chulainn but will be 400 metres longer that the 1,082 metre long Cú Chulainn...
I think that is their 10 year anniversary so makes sense to do something big then.
Say attendance this year will be up significantly due to great weather this summer
doesn't look like it unfortunately.
I do think getting a decent family coaster first is a better fit for this park. It is a very family focused park, don't really see groups of older teenagers / adults without kids. Was there twice last summer with nephews (11 & 13), Cu Chuliann was to big for...
For Cu Chuliann it took about 15 months total after planning submitted to opening.
if planning a 2019 release you must wonder why no application so far if want to open next May / June?
maybe you can build a steel quicker than wood, no idea.
Attendance in Tayto Park was down from 762,000 in 2016 to 735,000 in 2017, this must be having an impact on finances which require sponsorship like with Nissan / off-the-shelf spinner etc.
also, due to the never ending winter this year, delaying opening around Paddy's day and poor easter...
Thanks, great info.
from those maps above there is not much room left for expansion once hotel is build, prob 2 or 3 more major rides.
Does he own land behind where hotel is going but just not park of park?
also, where is solar farm going?
was at park last Friday, really good day out. Cu Chulainn is excellent ride, speed keeps up till end, 5-10 minute wait every time, rode 4 times. Viking vovage was really good, some of theming def needs to be finished. we had 30 min wait in morning then was 1 hour all day after.
Assuming they...
