I think it's one of the defining factors of a theme park visit from a guests POV.
What do you remember about a theme park?
You remember the parking, the weather, a few of the stand out rides, how the park is to navigate, and the food.
Plopsaland is one of my least favourite parks to visit...
There were rumours like 10 years ago that Kumba was on it's way out. It's been one of those lingering OAPs for a while. I felt lucky to ride it a couple years ago - I guess maybe some people see it as one of those forever attractions because it has been around and been reasonably iconic for so...
As someone with a delicate grasp on any of Universal's attraction names and even some of their IPs, this was an incredibly confusing thread title to read.

Valtor is now open
Unlikely. The cost of the wild swing and eurofighter hardware would be 2/3 of that budget alone. Mack's have famously become more expensive in recent years, so I doubt if you combine the cost of the hardware of all the rides it would fit into that number.
A lot of these chain companies will work with marketing companies who will do a package for them. Promotional graphics, a collection of different kinds of merch (i.e. shirts, hoodies, mugs, posters etc) and they are ultimately responsible for the content that is contained within these packages...
Yeah, was never a fan of Euro-mir. That's not to say it wasn't funny as hell, or had some character. Frankly the best coaster in the park to get a face lift.
There were whispers that he took a lot of credit for what was actually an entire teams work, sometimes almost entirely nothing to do with him. Sometimes difficult to work with but generally he was well respected for his ability to give nods to previous attractions and having strong big ideas...
Fly to Lodz, rent a car, drive to Energylandia & Legendia and visit Mandoria on the way back. If you book far enough ahead you can still get return flights to Lodz for less than £40. Hotels there can be around £25 a night for a pretty decent room.
It's still possible to do Poland ridiculously...
It's admittedly been a while since I worked as a ride op but I was there from when it used to be a stamp booklet right up until the digital reservation system. My older brother is severely physically disabled. We have benefitted from using the pass and also dealt with the headache of splitting...
Worth highlighting that this isn't exclusive to Towers. Sounds like cuts and redundancies have already been actioned in Merlin HQ, and there will likely be more restructuring at the other resort parks and attractions too.
Big 4 attachment to a project doesn’t necessarily bode well. A lot of the cancelled gulf projects had a big 4 involved.
A more notable stamp of hope is the involvement of Chris Lange, the former creative lead from Europa who’s been bouncing from success to success in the industry in recent...
Yeah I remember being excited to give this one a go a couple of years back after the retrack, just to come off feeling quite beaten up and absolutely deafened by the tunnel. Really funny reading back through the comments before it was open of us being excited for it, just for absolute dead...
I'd like to do mine slightly differently to the format that seems to have been adopted by you guys above.
I didn't think 2025 would be a particularly big year for me. Don't get me wrong, it wasn't huge by any means, but still, I was expecting to do maybe 4 or 5 parks at most. In fact, in The...
Some really excellent points here Josh, quite a lot of open ended discussion points to address.
Really interesting to hear about Thorpe's restraint style research. Had no idea about that. I wonder if it were a choice to make the ride feel more intimidating, especially because as you say...
I'm pretty sure I've seen British/European/Alton Archive (whichever one they go by these days) say that much of the archive is in fact not digitised, and they have had to cherry pick items they archive themselves privately as Merlin/Alton have very little interest in doing so outside of...
