This is so disappointing. The derailment happened about a week before a trip we had booked to Margate with this coaster as the main reason. Still went, but the (tiny) park had no other attractions of much interest to adults.
This one seemed to be less well-regarded than the one at Yarmouth...
Wow, that really is beefy! If one of the Jinma ones could end up in Europe that'd be so cool - imagine having a new large-scale coaster at Winter Wonderland. I'd prefer it with 2-across trains though.
Curious about where people are hyping it up? I thought the (enthusiast) response has been mostly resigned acceptance or outright disappointment that it wasn't something like a Big Dipper...
Sounds like Untamed warms up quite a bit through the day, glad you got some more rides in later.
Totally agree that the theming/queueline on Platform 13 is great, and the launch - just a shame about the rest of it o_O
But the Stardust Racers handle looks way shorter than the long ones on Hyperia. Looking at photos (haven't ridden SR myself) I can't imagine how anyone would get their head into that position even in a completely limp state, it's further than half way up the thigh. (The plastic bit on Hyperia's...
Yeah, I thought it sounded a bit vague as well, like he might be embellishing something he half-saw... but that seems risky in such a litigious country!
Even if someone came back into the station myteriously injured/dead with no obviously visible signs of hardware failure though, wouldn't they...
In that (mostly rubbish) news report they talked to a TikToker called Tommy Italiano who claimed to have seen it from the queueline: "There was a big piece of metal that was detached hanging off the coaster". In a TikTok video he elaborated that it was from "the back of the seat", seeming to...

"She said that Zavala appeared to be slumped over, bleeding, with his leg seemingly broken."
... What the hell?! This is so awful, and weird.
Wow, that's so cool! I just found some references to early Mack coasters on Reddit threads but they didn't have photos or had been deleted.
Interestingly the Wikipedia page on single-rail coasters doesn't mention Mack at all, but it's not a very thorough article.
So this image is included at the top of Europa's 'History' page, with the caption 'Historie Achterbahn'. The text is ambiguous but all other photos in this section appear to be from Europa Park, where the first coaster was apparently built in 1984. This image looks much older than that. But...
Hello Prinkle :) If you haven't seen it already, there's a good website called Captain Coaster on which people (mostly enthusiasts) rate and review coasters, so you can get an idea of the top rated ones worldwide, or by country, by park etc. There's another one called Coaster Count which I...
Oh definitely. I spited myself out of years of joy by not even knowing I loved coasters and being too scared to find out (along with rarely getting the opportunity). The first miss I remember is the large Vekoma boomerang (Cobra?) that used to be at Bewdley Safari Park. I was maybe 9 or 10. My...
This whole thing is spooky. I'd never heard of it until seeing this thread today. There are already 100+ Google reviews of the park but most of them are from people who had trouble buying tickets or don't like the (frightful) AI art. And then a load of 5* reviews with no/minimal comments...
I recently found this Backrooms coaster video and the endless pink track and boxy green/yellow train (minus the Wacky Worm head) really reminded me of Millennium at Fantasy Island... so that one I guess! The lurid green supports IRL make it look even more unreal.
