Let's keep in mind folks, as mentioned earlier ITT, right now they are running the ride without the holding brake at the top of the drop. I'm sure during the initial test runs they want to avoid valleys at any cost, so they're making sure it's going as fast as it can through the circuit to break...
I don't know exactly how good it was because I never made it to Ka, and as much as it pains me to say it, I doubt we will see anything as intricately themed as Golden Kingdom added to SFGAdv ever again.
I didn't understand the need for spinning cars in the first place, knowing what we know as enthusiasts, it just screamed initial issues and a maintenence nightmare down the road.
Overcomplicating something that didn't need it in the first place, the layout is just fine as it is.
I wonder if...
I am going to guess that although the ride is cleared above ground, those KK footers are still in the ground, and there's a lot of them and they're probably huge.
So as opposed to having to pay to demo the footers and have them removed, they just shifted the install to avoid them altogether.
Other than a ride like Tron or Hagrids that might specifically warrant moto-style seating...what is the desire to design trains that place you in perhaps the most uncomfortable riding position ever?
It's no mystery that tire launches are much more susceptible to inconsistencies even with the...
You know, I was thinking with all these dive coasters and the long flat straight track/turns they have at the top between the lift and drop...it would be cool if they switched it up and did an outer bank up there.
Imagine slowly tilting off to the side 30 or 45 degrees when you're 300 feet up...

I know this video is 4 months old...but has there been any confirmation of this as a replacement for Ka?
If so...erm...🤔
What I've been starting to wonder is, do any of you remember when Steel Dragon 2000 came out, and they had to have 2 separate chain runs on the lift hill? Their explanation was that a single chain couldn't handle the weight of the train over such a long distance because the lift hill was too...
Cobra's Curse @BGT turns spinning on and off mid ride. It's a setting on the train that locks/unlocks during mid-course brake runs. Even in that vid you can see there are "slow" spots on straight runs where these systems will come into place.
Might be a first for an Intamin, someone will...
One thing that has kind of always bugged me about B&M is how the elevation of some of their elements are so high off the ground that they really miss the opportunity of interacting with the terrain. When you're so high up even during low parts or valleys of the layout, you kind of miss out on...
Seeing as how this looks to be a suspended coaster, I wonder if this is hinting at the eventual demise of Ninja.
I certainly hope not because I love Ninja, and if there's one thing I've always applauded SFMM it's their maintenence department and the upkeep of their rides (not necessarily in...
WHY couldn't they just dig a 15 foot hole and make the drop 300'...WHY?!?!
Or leave the layout entirely the same, add 91 feet to the bottom of the support legs, and BOOM you have a Strata Dive!
So redonkulous. I can't imagine this thing costs less than a legit Intamin like Hyperion which are...
