For anyone how has visited Dollywood the last few days: how was the reliability of Lightning Rod? Was it down often? 1-train-operation? Seems like it's hit and miss to get the credit?

How is your day at Dollywood going? How is Lightning Rod running so far? Any breakdowns? Would be cool if you can post some updates.

Some facebook posts suggest that the coaster is not running constantly today, many breakdowns, now closed again....

So are they still not confident about opening the ride officially? I wonder how long they might go on with the rehearsal....

Well there are reports on sfneonline and themeparkreview saying the coaster has been closed since wednesday and they were working on the lift again......not good

Good to hear about that, we are coming down in july, so I am hoping they will have it open then.

Has anybody been on Lightning Rod yesterday or today? Seems like it didn't open at all yesterday?

I am excited to ride the coaster in July, did they say anything about opening or the second train?

Someone on themeparkreview posted that there is still work going on the lift hill, not much testing to report, the whole ride area seems very quiet which is not a good sign. So if you ask me, I am not very confident that they open the ride in the coming weeks. Maybe sometime in July?

Good to hear! Also hoping that it won't take much longer until the coaster opens.

Thanks for the infos, did you catch any testing progress? There are not many videos online which show some interesting stuff, so I wondered if they are going forward at all. Would like to know what makes you think that they are opening sooner than later.... :wink:

I read that there have been more setbacks, so the delay might take much longer, despite all the testing stuff of the last weeks. Does anybody have some updates?

I am also hoping that late April rumour is true, if anybody is down there this weekend, I will be happy to see some testing stuff/pictures:-)
