Excuse the formatting, im writing this on mobile on my honeymoon in Italy!
A slightly different trip report for my recent Phantasialand trip. This one was for my stag do, which was primarily in Cologne and featured a day at Phantasialand. My logic being, you don’t get many opportunities to drag...
Really excited by this, if it does come to fruition.
I visited the park in December 2025 for the first time since around 2002 and, I felt so underwhelmed by Polynesia. It was probably one of my most vivid memories of visiting back in 2002, but there's just nothing there. Granted, Tituki Splash...
I was frolicking round in the 'Small News in The Themepark Industry' thread and saw the article pop up about Hayling Island Funland removing rides to make way for houses. A quick google maps and I found the below house (sold in 2003 for £167,000) which can be no more than 3m away from the log...
Im always quite surprised just how close they've built houses to the park. For reference the log flume is right behind this persons conservatory. I imagine they'll just throw up some flats in the spot created by the ride removals.
Not sure if this is me just manifesting but I really dont want it to be the Mack Tower Coaster thing, it just looks so bland. Straight line shuttle coasters are something that should be left back in the 1980's.
My left field bet would be something akin to full throttle / alpen fury from...
I’ve been thinking about this for a while now and am always bought back to the Zipworld business model and just how successful that is. I’m not entirely sure how but Merlin need to be assessing that and learning from it. The Zipworld FForest coaster is £25 for 3 goes and it’s honestly pretty...
I'll hold my hands up and say I probably bum Paultons a bit too much, I'm 20 mins away, its likely the first park I visited, my first cred, I've watched it grow from some gardens with a few animal exhibits to what we see today. There's a definite bias there. But I've critiqued Valguard and the...
A collection of thoughts after another great event held by Paultons, the fact that Paultons even holds these events for us enthusiasts is exactly why we favour them over the likes of Merlin and co. Paultons don’t need to let us all in for free, put on a buffet, give us all ERT on the best...
In fairness I dont think anyone here is suggesting that the 2026 addition by Cobra is a water coaster / Rocking boat. All water coaster discussion, as far as I'm aware, is regarding the 2027 go karts site.
My immediate thought when i saw the first few footers was that they matched Juvelens - https://rcdb.com/11058.htm
@Niles I like the diagram, good work! The more I look the more it confuses me, the big footer has to be the station surely? And the collection of footers in the helix of cobra...
I couldnt agree more with this. I'm a huge fan of LotR, but have my doubts about how well a land would work. In comparison to HP, it just doesn't have iconic areas such as Diagon Alley, Hogwarts or Hogsmeade. The Shire is about as close as you get, I've seen shouts for Rivendell, which would be...
I would hate it if they didnt include a Harry Potter land but I'd also semi understand it from a business perspective. Harry Potter is a huge draw for British and European tourists to the Orlando Parks, even more so with the new Ministry bit at Epic Universe. Are Universal concerned that having...
Looks like this one is a good chunk bigger than Loke at Liseberg (89ft vs 139ft). Really enjoyed Loke so pleased with this. Not quite a new coaster level of excitement but i'll take it!
I was thinking about this a while back and I’ve had many conflicting thoughts. Firstly, entry price for universal is going to be the biggest factor and I’m really intrigued to see where they go with this. If it’s priced anything like their existing parks, Merlin and co shouldn’t be too bothered...
I know wild train was a cult classic and hard to replace but the park isn't messing around with this. Looks like a full on mini Voltron with a lot of extensive theming!
I’m assuming there’s no sign of any footers popping up in the water coaster area? I wonder if they could squeeze a swing launch like Star Trek at Movie Park in.
