I think the issue is, for me at least, the front of the train is too boxy and honestly the first thing that came to mind in the reveal was Tesla Cybertruck... hardly a flattering compliment! For the theme of a graceful goddess who has learned to soar a much sleeker and pointed nose would fit way...
I was initially in the disappointed camp but then I remember how most of the CF Live group - myself included - in 2016 thought nothing of Lost Gravity before riding it, but came off shocked and singing its praises.
Do I still wish it was at least a couple of elements longer? Absolutely. But...
I think the main issue with the veins is that they look too cartoony and chunky. If there was more variety in thickness, direction and shape with a grungier texture & multiple shades of red it could work really well imo. I'd love for all us doubters to be proven wrong but as it stands it looks...

Lmao this really is the cockroach that just won't die isn't it? I love how basically everyone has just had enough of this stupid thing.
Forgive me if it sounds silly/ignorant but is there any particular reason Blackpool usually aim to open new rides towards summer instead of when they reopen for the new season around March like Merlin do?
In any case I'm very excited to ride this, about time the UK stepped up our coaster game.
Damn that looks mighty fine. Junker was easily the best Finnish coaster on my trip last year but this looks like it may just steal that crown - and it won't involve the 4-5 hour drive from the south to PowerPark either!
Can't wait to see progress on this unfold. Was planning to return...
I still hate Chessington but the Gruffalo is a very wise IP choice, it's one of those timeless kids stories that will basically always be relevant. The books are certainly immensely popular at my work and the Marlowe theatre often has Gruffalo plays which always draw giant crowds, the fact that...

Alton Towers has retired its Flume water ride after 35 years of operation, the park has confirmed.
Opening in 1981 as the Log Flume, the Mack-manufactured ride had in recent years been subject to considerable speculation regarding its...
I really hope things improve in the following years, I really liked the park when we did the CF Live (I think we all shared the same thoughts) and it's a shame to see it struggling. But the fact is with only 2 coasters, albeit GOOD ones, and a couple other rides there's not too much drawing...

The park Tweeted this today. What do people think: Thomas Land expansion? Hotel news? New area/flat? Or how about that supposed launched coaster over the lake that all the fanboys dig up each time there's a Drayton rumour? ;)
I for one...
Found this via RideRater on Twitter. The full article is here: http://www.gazettelive.co.uk/news/teess ... nt-7797766
No details of who the manufacturer would be, the article simply just says "Italian".
A planning application to Redcar and Cleveland Council, made under the name Esplanade...
I saw rumours flying around various sites of the giant pendulum ride making its debut here soon, and it has now been announced to be taking bookings from UK fairs. Inb4 everyone shouts "Winter Wonderland!!!!"...which I myself hope will happen, been wanting to ride this thing for ages!

New concept art! I quite like the idea of the entrance but whether it'll actually look any good in person is another question...

Yeah I did try to break out my expert coding skills but alas...Twitter just hates CF ;)
In any case it may be because it's so local to me but I can't really imagine staying overnight at Thorpe, to me it's not really a 2-day park. That, and I'd rather not deal with the chavs dicking about overnight.
Re: Guangzhou PTR Day 2 Pt 1: Chuanlord Holiday Manor
DRAGOOOOOONNNN! <3
Great trip report as always Gavin, always nice to read a detailed one that isn't just full of in-jokes. Question about Dive Coaster; I've heard a lot of people say that other Dive Machines aren't as intimidating as...
Jordan I just checked their website and it says "Please note: Rameses Revenge is currently closed and will reopen in 2014". No specification as to WHEN in 2014 but at least they plan to reopen it. They must've had to pay so much to replace the restraints the firemen cut open! D:
