The "do you count it?" list

- New Vekoma at Galaxyland 1 or 2? - 1, only requires one ride of either cycle to get the credit
- Gold Rush at DMP (2 cycles on the same track) 1 or 2? - 1, same applies at Galaxyland
- Moebius coasters 1 or 2? - 1
- Twin coasters 1 or 2? - 2
- Count clones as new creds? - Yes
- Relocations count as new creds? - Yes, experiencing a ride in a different location is enough for me to consider it
- Re-tracks (eg Hulk, Nemesis etc) - No
- Major change eg. Top Thrill Dragster/2 - Yes
- Disk-Os - No
- Alpine coasters (gravity) - No, I see them as a different type of ride equipment to roller coasters
- Powered alpine coasters eg. Tower Coaster - No
- Bobsled/toboggan/SoRo alpine coasters - No
- Ridge Riders - No
- Ghost trains with drops eg Devil's Den - No

I haven't looked into it closely enough to make a call, but probably just 1

Gold Rush at DMP
Definitely 1. Don't be silly.

Moebius coasters
I personally count both sides as 1 cred, but that's due to overall enthusiast consensus, and I have no problem whatsoever if people count them as 2. Any outrage over counting them twice is ALWAYS down to enthusiasts showing off their superior knowledge of how moebius coasters work. F**k off.

Twin coasters
Definitely 2. They operate independently. If one side were closed (which in China is almost a given) would I not count it?

Count clones as new creds
Yes. New machine. Nothing to do with the "experience"; it's a completely separate piece of hardware.

Relocations count as new creds?
No, for the same reason that clones are. It's the same piece of hardware.

Re-tracks (eg Hulk, Nemesis etc)
No, but with an exception. The Vekoma Mine Train at Happy Valley Shenzhen was replaced with a Jinma copy. Although (I think) the layout is the same and might even reuse some footers, station etc., it's been rebuilt by a completely different company.

Major change eg. Top Thrill Dragster/2
Yes. This goes beyond the "new experience" bollocks since there are also major layout and hardware changes.

Disk-Os
No. I ride them and tick them off on coaster-count since I hate seeing the red boxes, but they're not on my personal count.

Alpine coasters (gravity)
Yes. I don't care about that "must coast uphill" definition that someone pulled out of their arse at some point and other people adopted.

Powered alpine coasters eg. Tower Coaster
First I've heard of that one, but seeing as I count powered coasters and alpine coasters, logically, it would be yes.

Bobsled/toboggan/SoRo alpine coasters
No. It comes down to track versus slide on that one. The fact that you could stop at any point and just walk off with the ride vehicle = not a roller coaster. Now watch some smart arse finding a coaster where that's technically possible.

Ridge Riders
No. Absolutely not. To anyone who's counted one, don't be so f**king stupid.

Ghost trains with drops
No. No real explanation as to why other than it just doesn't feel enough like one.
