Drayton Manor Resort Five Year Plan 2022 - 2026

The Wave needs a clean, paint and an additional train really.
As for other additions etc I'd love to see a new gen Vekoma family coaster and some flats
I fully believe an ART Engineering Wild Swing would be perfect! I rode my first one at Paultons Park for Valgard Opening Day and it blew me away. Suits the target audience, especially in the Frontier Falls area as well.

I would also love to see a family dark ride as well, something either with an IP or original theme dedicated to younger audiences with the same charm as Ghostly Manor had or something like Toyland Tours back in the day.

An opportunity to reignite this topic, as there is a couple of things to keep in mind:

- Many rumours over the last season or so about the eventual possible return of Pirate Adventure (staff apparently going in and out of the building last season and exterior theming repainted over the last year)
- Plans to maybe add a lodge complex to boost accommodation in Staffordshire (https://www.insidermedia.com/news/m...es-to-provide-much-needed-extra-accommodation)

Obviously these are very exciting developments long-term - but what else could and would the park do realistically? Not just rides and attractions but overall additions to the park experience.
I'd say a couple of things
1. Train 2 on the Wave
2. A new family thrill rollercoaster on the same thrill level as Storm Chaser, Wickerman etc. Something on a higher scale from Gold Rush but also a step up to the Wave. Even if it's a Wild Mouse coaster.
3. Reuse the Pirate Adventure building
4. Add some flat rides including a ART Engineering Wild Swing, Technical Park Sidecar XL, a Zamperla Endeavour and a 25m S&S Space Shot as suggestions. Focus on the family thrill side of things.
5. Build the lodge complex.

Definitely another coaster in between Gold Rush and Wave. Wave is very much a holdover from when Drayton was a more thrill oriented park, even with the sit down trains.

Last time I went the viking area barely even looked open, was that just luck of the draw or does it need to be open more consistently?

I think they did a commendable job on Gold Rush's presentation. Apply that to the rest of the park. Thomas Land is fine I suppose, that was pretty well done to begin with.

Drayton has less area to work with than Paultons, but I would say needs to go in a similar direction as it is probably competing less with it than say Chessington is due to the distance.

How much time does the Wave even have left? The train was replaced, yes, but that track is still over thirty years old. Do they have a plan in place for when that track is old enough to the point where they'll need to start doing something about it?

The new trains and loading procedure will have extended its life by several years seeing as it only does about 12 circuits a day.
