Efteling Expansion + New Coaster

Don't believe it's decided on a full roll out yet just testing the setup first
Correct. The boats have always had a 3+4+3+4 seating arrangement, however the park is currently running tests using a boat with 4 rows of 4 seats. Should benefit overall capacity quite a bit, since there are often empty seats in the odd rows. According to Looopings the boat used for the test will run with the extra seats once the attraction opens again soon

Baron has been closed for a couple of weeks for some planned maintenance. It was meant to have reopened around now (or shortly after now), but it has now been extended through to the end of April.

There's been lots of digging going on around a support in the second half of the ride, so the current theory is there's some unexpected issue there.

Disappointed as I am going end of the month with family for their first visit, and Baron was their most-anticipated ride.

Seems like the new ride at Efteling will be Ravenring

It looks to be a Zamperla Gryphon with a double seat arrangement

It's actually a new ride type from Vekoma not Zamperla!

Unless it's just creative liberty for the illustration, it looks like rather than individual hydraulics and such, the arms themselves ride on a wave-shaped circle track like a classic matterhorn/chance thunderbolt style flat, except with a much more dramatic swing, and to allow for all at once loading on floorless trains that wavy track raises and lowers. It looks like? Just based off the one image.

Also kinda wild to see Vekoma dip their toes back into flat rides. Yes, they've made a couple flying islands and madhouses, but especially the latter hardly counts as a flat ride and the former doesn't even have restraints. Of course back in the day you had Vekoma making all kinds of flat rides from Waikiki Waves to Sky Flyers but that was a long time ago now.
