Six Flags America & Hurricane Harbour has permanently closed

In a shock development of sorts, the three attractions being most earmarked for salvation (Harley Quinn Spinsanity, Ragun' Cajun, and the NebulaZ) have all been listed for sale. Meaning that Six Flags is trying to jettison them rather than relocate within the chain;

You'd think that they had parks that could very easily (cheaply) benefit from these attractions, perhaps they're trying to alleviate that huge debt but it still leaves a weird taste.

I do love that one of the pics used in the NebulaZ listing is when firefighters had to rescue riders off the thing in August, guess they just needed media 😂

Retraction of this, the rides were never for sale. An overseas broker tried to use the closure to advertise sales for other parks (the coaster was this), using SFA images as bait. Corporate dealt with it accordingly and had the listings taken down.

Wasn't really adding up anyways. Trying to ditch a small, two-season-old, very marketable NebulaZ wouldn't have alleviated the debt.

^ That's kinda wild because what other kinda park in the world otherwise would be getting rid of a giant discovery rn (you think someone would notice), or a nebulaz, given the latter is so new?

Drone footage of the park appears to show no changes at the site so far;

There's reports that Superman's trains showed up at Darien Lake for Ride of Steel, which would be incredibly funny because that would put them at four (mostly very new) Intamin trains when the state is reportedly only allowing them to run one so far (very small 26-year old-brake system go brrr). Can't really confirm it based off the image in circulation though;

All they could do is make the brake fins denser, as the trains feature horizontal brake fins - so no chance of making the brakerun longer. Well... you could add another set of brakes next to the drive tires, but they would'nt be very effective.

Now that I am writing this... depending on the material of the brakefins, you might be able to switch them to something more conductive, which would also increase their effectivenes.
