Guatemala: Volcanoes & Cred Hoes - Part 8 - Flores

The benefit of focusing on creds when planning new park visits, especially those with less desirable coasters, allows opportunity for a pleasant surprise when you realize the park is actually really pretty.

So much this. I've been to so many +1 places that have ended up being really nice. Ok, another jungle mouse, but in a really nice setting etc.

Really enjoying reading this. I didn't have an issue with the large pictures using my work computer, but in my own reports using img.bb. I've opted for the medium size. I don't like how they look on a computer monitor, but on a phone screen they're fine. The alternative is to resize everything before uploading, but given how few people even read these things anymore, it's not worth the effort. Stupid Imgur.

I need to see a lot more of Central and South America, and Guatemala has been quite high on the list for a while; it's just a case of time and logistics since that part of the world from Hong Kong is a proper mission.

I've suddenly become a lot more interested traveling more down there as well. Yes, it's generally light on good creds, but the nature/hiking aspect really opened my eyes to lots of potential adventures. The sooner the better, especially with so many people still afraid to visit Latin America, resulting in less tourism and cheaper prices. But I suspect it'll blow up in popularity in the years to come. I mean, Guatemala already seemed popular once I was down there, but it wasn't like I heard much about it before.
