What's the other top two park?
Glad you still managed to have a great time under the circumstances and you have a lot of excellent rides to go back for by the sound of it!
Efteling are super chill, you can record on everything with Meta glasses too. The only ride where i even asked about glasses was Baron 1898 for obvious reasons.
Funnily on my visit after this i was allowed to wear glasses on Hyperia without a strap.
I did take them off half way round though as wasn't confident they'd stay.
Generally try to wear contact lenses for theme park trips these days.
Completely agree. We're just finishing off our first ever trip to Europa Park/Rulantica and all i can think is "how do i go back to a Merlin park after this"? The Ryanair of the theme park industry.
Chessington don't need a big thrilling Intamin though. A family thrill, unique indoor coaster that can theoretically operate 365 with a very popular evergreen IP is arguably the best investment they've made in 35 years.
We're going in a few months but i was checking queue times today and its already died down a lot for Frozen. It was often a shorter wait than the likes of Crush (obviously), Ratatouille and Big Thunder Mountain. Assume it's the typical boat ride throughput monster easily exceeding 1000pph.

I was at this too, was easily the best ever visit to Thorpe Park... will be very difficult to visit on a "normal" day afterwards! Seeing the Hyperia station empty and trains going round half full was bizarre.
Realistically, despite being geographically close, depending on the time of day and route, that journey is anywhere from 30 to 60 minutes. It would be almost impossible to run it to a timetable and regularly without a fleet of buses which would be a significant expense. Merlin won't even operate...
I guess we will see in regards to how the budget is spent.
I'm very cynical of Merlin after the last few years but i think the figures quoted, the opportunity of this specific IP and the upcoming arrival of Universal suggest this will deliver. Yes it won't be Universal or Disney levels but as...
Even with inflation it's still the single biggest investment in UK theme park history.
My understanding is that figure does not include licensing, it's the budget for the construction of the project.
If we compare to Uncharted at PortAventura which is likely the prototype of this ride, that...
In the announcement video they specifically state it's "the world's first Minecraft rollercoaster".
I do recall on the plans there was some tenuous other world's first like "first multi diagonal indoor launch".
